This fall, unquiet spirits have gathered once again! Inspired by Severin Films’ latest compendium of folk horror, the Dave Barber Cinematheque presents All The Haunts Be Ours: Folk Horror Classics from October 11 until November 24. Featuring SGaawaay K’uuna (Edge of The Knife) (2018), The White Reindeer (1952) with Rhayne Vermette’s short film The Nightside of The Sky (2023) and Beauty and The Beast (1978), Sundelbolong (1981), Suzzanna: The Queen of Black Magic (2024) and Bakeneko: A Vengeful Spirit (1968), this series of films explores the strange and magical world of spirits, revenge and forbidden desires.
This month’s Trash Cult Tuesdays features two classics from the Japanese New Wave – Yasuharu Hasebe’s Black Tight Killers (1966) and Seijun Suzuki’s Branded To Kill (1967)!
The WNDX Festival of Moving Image then takes over the theatre from October 2-6!
