A special program in conjunction with the WSO’s New Music Festival featuring Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm with a brilliant score by Winnipeg born Mychael Danna, two important films from the New York underground filmmaking scene and Craig Baldwin’s Spectres of the Spectrum, featured here to complement WSO’s new opera on genius inventor Nikola Tesla (created by composer Phil Kline and film director Jim Jarmusch). Death by Popcorn and Survival Stories: The Greg Klymkiw Story are key works which reflect Winnipeg’s past and often conflicted view of itself.
